Railway environment is usually a combination of Technical meetings/Briefs which
always results in the production of a Scheme Plan / Signalling Facilities
Diagram
The Scheme Plan / Signalling Facilities Diagram is a
technical drawing (usually scaled) which shows all the railway infrastructure
changes proposed by any given contract. The drawing is of use to:
Railway
Operators; Used to analyze the effects of any alterations to the Railway
infrastructure.
Designers;
Used to help compile Route Tables/Control Tables / Aspect Sequence Charts /
Detailed Design.
Project Management;
Used as a reference guide to understand how different disciplines interact with
each other on the same project.
